Because why not?
1. Are you an essential worker? Nope, but I am expected to be able to work from home, with fairly minimal support from the university. So that will be fun.
2. How many drinks have you had since the quarantine started? Only the normal number, actually.
3. If you have kids... Are they driving you nuts? Not yet, although he's really really bored, poor kid.
4. What new hobby have you taken up during this? Gardening. Especially if the garden centre I emailed gets back to me about vegetables and bedding pants. And exercise: Spartacus and I do PE with Joe every morning!
5. How many grocery runs have you done? Well, for a while we could no longer get delivery, and we don't have a car, so we were doing fairly frequent trips to the local shops (every other day or every third day). Now I can get a weekly delivery again, but we're still going to the butcher once or twice a week, because I would like him still to be in business when this is over, and they only allow one person into the shop at a time.
6. What are you spending your stimulus check on? Not sure I'll get one, actually. In any case I'm still being paid my regular paltry salary.
7. Do you have any special occasions that you will miss during this quarantine? I missed my birthday already! And Spartacus was supposed to go to a football game with his grandparents. And I was planning to host a seder for about 12 people, which obviously did not occur.
8. Are you keeping your housework done? Well, since we are paying our cleaners not to come, somewhat. We're keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean.
9. What movie have you watched during this quarantine? Hm. Not many, but at least Minions.
9b. What are you reading right now? Patricia McKillip, Harpist in the Wind.
9c. What video game are you playing? None -- A needs the computer to work on.
10. What are you streaming with? Now TV and Amazon Prime, but iPlayer most of all.
11. Nine months from now is there any chance of you having a baby? Zer, silch, none. Instead I get to play the great game of "hot flash or onset of high fever?"
12. What's your go-to quarantine meal? We have been doing A LOT of cooking. But for the last week, matzoh brie, although the season is now finished.
13. Is this whole situation making you paranoid? No.
14. Has your internet gone out on you during this time? On the first day I was supposed to work from home. And it has been weak at times.
15. What month do you predict this all ends? Define "this all." I think things will mostly open up by July.
16. First thing you're gonna do when you get off quarantine? I don't know! Probably go out to lunch? Buy a ticket to see my mother?
17. Where do you wish you were right now? Here. But I also really wish I was with my mother to look after her.
18. What free-from-quarantine activity are you missing the most? Sending Spartacus to school!
19. Have you run out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer? No. But since I'm not going out much I don't really use the hand sanitiser any more.
20. Do you have enough food to last a month? Possibly, but by the end it would be pretty thin. We'd run out of milk and eggs and meat, and I need milk for my coffee.
Off to clap.

Date: 2020-04-17 07:59 am (UTC)My birthday came at the very start of all this, so I baked a cake and we had pizza delivered. It wasn't bad, all things considered.
