I usually take two suitcases to the UK for the summer; this isn't unreasonable, since I'm there for two and a half months. This year I'm pretty sure I could fit everything into my duffle, although I probably won't. I'll have to think about it; after all, it's not like we don't have a few small suitcases lying around at home, for short trips during the summer. But then, I do a lot of shopping while I'm there, so I might want the extra space when I come back...
Decision-making is clearly a problem for me today.

Date: 2007-05-28 07:58 pm (UTC)Me: Do you think I should take that extra pair of pumps.
John: No. And take out those other three, too. I need that room for two books and all the salt in the house. And I need to take a shotgun, too.
Me: ::facepalm::

Date: 2007-05-28 08:03 pm (UTC)Pack your duffle, and throw in a couple of empty ones. You can fill them up for the return trip. I learned long ago to pack along an empty bag. Takes up no space, and if I don't need it, okay. If I do, got it. Also? Should we be telling you to have fun? Vacation? Summer job?

I've never picked up the empty-bag habit, although I might give that a try; I do have a small one around somewhere.
I migrate annually between Halifax and Oxford due to the two-academic, two-job thing. So really, I'm just going to my other home for the summer.
