As usual, the outlines I have to mark seem to be going very, very slowly, probably because I put them off to the late afternoon. And because they are sadly repetitive. (But c_iulius will be pleased, I hope, to hear that I have not managed to prejudice my students against Caesar.) I want them done today, because tomorrow BH arrives, but it's as if I've reached the limit to "getting stuff done" today with a trip to the market and what seemed like a year's worth of filing.

So here I am, lurking on lj on a Saturday, desperate for amusement. Please! I am suffering from a complete lack of motivation: I'm not even motivated to edit a piece of fanfic I'm working on. Prompt me, or poke me with pointy sticks, or something. Please.

Want me to tell you a story about 1/5 of your tiny birthday present? Barkley said it was ugly. UGLY! Okay, no she didn't. She said it was less than pretty. Okay, she didn't say that either. Mostly she said that was uneven. Can you imagine!? OMG. Uneven. Never mind that she was right. What does *that* matter? I was crushed. CRUSHED. And then she said the revised version lost something in translation! Talk about hard to please. So now you're getting all three versions of the ugly uneven thing. *g*

I am confused! and intrigued! and in general think that three of something is better than one of it. Right? Well, provided it's something good, like chocolate, or Dean, and not something bad, like the mumps. (Also, prsesnts -- I am bouncing up and down on the couch at the very thought of such things.)
