In further speculation, wanna bet that Sark knew, even as he burned Jack's ass to the little pit-bull photographer, that our mercenary hearthrob would be dead meat the minute he tried to pull anything on Black Jack Bristow?
I agree. No doubt Sark got up close and personal with Jack's interrogation techniques in a controlled environment, over the last two years. He knew perfectly well that Jack would kill Simon. My new theory, in fact, is that Jack and Sark are working together. (Of course, I can't prove this. Yet.) Jack knew that his cover had been blown. My belief is that Jack never intended Simon to survive the meeting--he doesn't have the resources to hold him prisoner and interrogate him in a more leisurely fashion, so he has to kill him.
Plus, now that Sark's out of jail, it's time to get rid of Syd's other secret eurotrash boyfriends.
