I actually had the day from Hell, but this cheered me right up:

Which Famous Homosexual are you?
How spiffing! You're Alexander the Great!
Yeah, baby. You were the King of Macedonia, and conqueror of much of the world; you're responsible for the spread of Christianity, as well as Hellenistic society and even the Roman Empire. Your power was feared for thousands of miles around.
And how gay were you. When you'd conquered Persia, you fell in love with a male courtier from that court - scandalous in those days, because the Persians were believed to be uncivilised barbarians.
You were always really in love with your boyhood friend, Hephaestion, and when he died you were grief-stricken to a legendary degree: convinced that he would live on after death, you passed away soon afterwards.
Otherwise, I'll just say that technology was not my friend today. Classicists should not be allowed to make powerpoint presentations, and I should never be allowed within ten feet of a slide projector.

Date: 2002-09-29 10:18 am (UTC)I know that particular feeling of embarrassed frustration - I don't mesh well with presentation technology either. I've occasionally been known to hit it, kick it, swear at it or otherwise treat it as animate and hostile. Sigh. Maybe it's a more general humanist problem (the tech issues, that is, not the temptation to resort to violence).
I was Alexander the Great too, btw, though I must say I fail to see how the information I gave in the quiz lead to this conclusion. But I can see why you were pleased. *g*
