SPN 3x03: does this episode have a name?

John Winchester's secret storage locker made me long for the crossover with him and Jack Bristow, where they compare storage lockers and brag about their kids. I mean, yes, I think pre-series Jack Bristow might win in the loving-but-uncommunicative contest, but it would be a close call.
So John was clearly the baddest of bad asses, but also, he kept little keepsakes and mementos of Sam and Dean in his Secret Room of Guns and Scary Stuff. Cool. (As an aside, whatever Kripke may say about him, the text we have implies that John was on good terms with both his sons -- at any rate, at 16, he and Sam could spend some time together without Sam's chief memories being of fighting and trauma, while Dean went off on his road trip of bendy sex. Dean also felt that he could leave them alone together to go have fun, without it bringing on the apocalypse.) I am wondering, though, that if something was hunting anyone who knew Mary, was John doing something on the side to keep it from finding them? He clearly knew a lot more about magical things than he told the boys. This is all going into my very special "more going on than met the eye" file.
So apparently this episode was actually about things other than John. Who could tell? I was busy thinking about John, although while on the subject of Alias crossovers, Bella is clearly Sark's type. I guess i can add that to the list of Sark crossovers.
As for Gordon, I am never sure what to think; is he working in good faith or not? Why on earth did the other guy believe him without corroboration? Are hunters usually that gullible? Do they often quite the Blues Brothers so completely unironically? I am not convinced about all the whole "mission from God" element, and will withhold judgment until I see how it plays out. "However, as for, "I'm Batman," all I can say is, "Oh, Dean. Sure you are." The rabbit's foot plot allowed for lots and lots of physical comedy, and thus gets two thumbs up from me, no matter what. Pratfalls! Sam lost a shoe! People hit their heads and fell down! Although the thing with the skewers and the guy who died was pretty gross.
But! It ended with Dean outwitting Bella! Which made me happy! Even if she stole the tickets from Dean.
In other news: Sam claims to have no powers left; I'm not sure that's true. He hasn't told Dean what Ruby told him about Mary, has he? Quite reasonably, as I feel that Dean would probably freak out.
And as we've been having new and old characters brought in, can we have Agent Hendricksen, too? Or perhaps at least hear something of Ellen and Jo? Well, at least we still have Bobby to provide the exposition. But I think a giant reunion episode some time in November sweeps, with a whole bunch of special guest stars, would be pretty awesome. Not as awesome as an episode All About John, but still, pretty awesome.
In the meantime, though, this was enjoyable and made me happy, which I needed after today and when I consider what tomorrow will look like.
