I laughed too, in equal parts horror and disbelieving amusement. My boss, who heard about this from the volunteer, was furious as well as upset. Frankly, it was so ludicrous, I couldn't help but laugh. They really are unbelievably unworldly...and the info that does seep in is just freakish.
