yuletide and writing notes

Yuletide fandom suggestions come at a busy time of year for me, so I'm always at the mercy of what other people want. This year some of my standby fandoms didn't make it, and for others I'll need to check the characters and think about what I want or could offer. But there are also surprises, like the RPF for British shows I love, like Location, Location, Location. Except the show is its own RPF, really. Would people really ask for Phil/Kristy? It just seems so... unnecessary. And sort of in poor taste. Unlike the thought of Top Gear slash, which, frankly, is exactly what Jeremy Clarkson needs in his life. The man lives to be in poor taste.
I am half-thinking of not doing it this year -- but then again, I remember how much I love the inevitable panic and the thrill of getting a story and writing a story.

I have sent something to beta-readers. Typing that last "end" is really so satisfying, especially as I have been working on this story, by my calculations, since just before the start of time. Now I have two big projects left: the conclusion to Blessings and a SPN story I wanted to write over the summer. Actually, I wanted to get both written over the summer.
While not finishing this story, I cleaned my closet and my oven. Really. I roll my eyes at my own lameness.

Today I vacuumed, did some calculations with the bills, cleaned the bathroom, and started vaguely reading the second book for prosem this week.
Also, my break for yesterday was a trip to the grocery store. So possibly my life is lamer. I would blame graduate school, but I wasn't that much more exciting as an undergrad.
