First of all, a ficathon: forty_or_better is a smutathon focusing on characters who are, you guessed it, forty or more, and not eternally young or anything. Because people who aren't teenagers have sex too, apparently. Anyway, I won't do this one, on account of it being a smutathon, but some of you might be interested.

From someone on my friends list, a very funny short piece by Ursula LeGuin (and hers is not a name I generally associate with humor at all), in which the decaying corpse of genre fiction refuses to lie quiet in the grave.

In other news: evil studentses, we hates them, precious... Why must they try to cheat the university regulations?

I am very busy. I am behind already.

I find that repeating this to myself again and again helps to keep me from signing up for ficathons, but this one is more tempting than most. If crossovers were permitted I would be all over it.
