Well, she is fairly unique in that she had an experience with the Winchesters that while evil was not supernatural. Everyone else - Cassie included - has lived through it and has that experience to draw on.
yes, exactly -- and of course the show highlighted the parallel between the Winchesters and the Benders even though it denied it. But Kathleen doesn't know that the Winchesters are any better, at least at first.
