I kind of felt like I was watching a montage of X-Files clips. And not in a good way. Didn't they do an episode about enlarged pituitary glands once? And then the paranoid hallucinations, and the vampires and the creepy pictures on the walls of some hidden room... You see my point.
To be honest, I was bored. I just don't care about Sydney. I just don't care about Vaughn. I want them off my television screen. This does not bode well for me, since they are the stars of the show. There were moments that I loved, here, in particular that final scene between Sloane and Dixon, because Sloane is so completely inscrutable. What was that expression? Was he being made uncomfortable? Was he amused? I love that you can never tell, with Sloane. He's just that good.
But the A-plot didn't work for me. Sure, Sydney has issues. Well, duh. Her father had her mother killed. And yes, I still love watching Jack "is he evil?" Bristow, but without an ongoing story arc to keep me engaged, I just find it hard to care about this show. I can't even summon the enthusiasm to be snarky and funny about it.

With a touch of Kitsungari.

I was staring at Sloane as he watched Dixon walk away and I was all, what is the dude thinking? I even turned to the person I was watching with and asked him what he figured that expression meant. Man, the First Generation Spies are awesome. Weepy Syd would do well to learn from them.
Heh at Jack "is he evil?" Bristow. The all-black outfits do seem to be pointing toward the answer there, don't they? *g* But I still do have much love for SpyDaddy (and think he's yum in black), so I keep watching.
