Week 1: progress report

Vanzetti's recipe for the end of the week: steak, kale, whiskey and a whole lot of Firefly. Such a good show. I'd say more, but it would be tipsy babbling. (Well, a little babbling: so far, Shindig is still my favorite episode, but for Kaylee rather than the silly dueling stuff.)

This time I figured out that it was better to start cooking before I started drinking.

Ohhh! I love kale!

Okay, that was weird. I think a tipsy, babbling post would be v. interesting, BTW. I just got my Firefly DVDs back and I get to watch them all over again. Will pay special attention to "Shindig" this time around. The first time was just one big marathon of love, with no differentiation between one ep and the next.

A lesson learned early in my drinking career, after nearly burning down the apartment twice trying to cook hashbrowns fro a bag. I have no idea why I even thought a Cosmopolitan and hashbrowns would be a good combination in the first place. I suspect it had something to do with being out on my own for the first time.
