L'Shanah tovah--and in honor of the day, I found this news story cheering. Not perfectly so, but still. Football probably can't solve all the problems in the world, but it does seem to help, sometimes.

*And by "football" I mean regular football. Soccer.

Nice story. Mostly. At any rate, the hecklers might be nasty, but they're not actually out to do the players in. Small mercies? I guess it seems like a pretty significant detail, but that's me...

Franlky, I was so impressed that the team existed and could play other teams, that the hecking seemed less significant. Or at least, surmountable. It's not like prejudice isn't endemic in football or anything.

yes, quite. What football game doesn't involve heckling? It wouldn't be natural. The key is that they and their teammates are not being shot at.
