daily life
Aug. 20th, 2007 11:39 pmBack in Nova Scotia, and I have put off going in to work as long as possible. (In fact, I did break in to my office on Sunday to pick up my new credit card so that I could pay my CAA membership so that CAA would come and start my car, which was completely and utterly dead... It was a stressful concatination of things needing to be done within the first days back.) Today we took the car out for a nice long drive around the coast of Dartmouth, and stopped off for tea -- with scones,
fillyjonk! and good, fluffy, scones, not weird North American hard-as-a-rock scones -- in one of the Lawrencetowns, overlooking the beach, in a very Nova Scotia country place, which is code for "might as well still be 1963, really." If they had used real whipped cram, it would have been perfect. But my hope is that the battery is happier now.
We also have been watching the last half-season of The Sopranos (excellent, ven though I sometimes had trouble remembering all the minor characters) and went to see Stardust (also excellent, and somewhat less stressful, as you weren't really worrying about people dying all the time, or rather, it was mostly pretty obvious who would die and who wouldn't).
Are there vids for The Sopranos? There ought to be.
