the jokes write themselves
Sep. 24th, 2006 05:54 pmWe spent yesterday watching seven hours of Deadwood: the rest of Season 3. All I have to say about that is that yes, it really is the best show on television. Probably, the best show ever on television.
That kept us up until midnight, and as I was getting ready for bed, I heard a strange noise and went into the living room -- my radio had gone on, for no apparent reason. So I turned it off, but as I was brushing my teeth, I heard it again and yes, it had gone on again. For no reason. With no one in the room. I unplugged it, and we went to sleep, but with the understanding that if it went on again, we would be out of the apartment right away.
That was a little freaky, but my point is that Deadwood was so emotionally draining that I slept perfectly well, even though my radio was possessed. (But as an aside -- my apartment is in an old building, and the lights flicker every now and then; the same is true of our house, because the wiring is a little wonky. Do other SPN watchers find themselves paying a little more attention to this kind of thing, now?)
