vaznetti: (hacksaw)
Discussion of the different expectations of historians and classicists with my husband (a historian--it's like having a built in test audience) has yielded a few extra pages of background information. I feel moderately more in-control of the situation, although as usual putting words on the page is painful in the extreme.

Six single-spaced pages and I'm only just starting the argument itself. And all that without even mentioning any number of thorny issues about the history of exile or about the war between Caesar and Pompey.

[ETA: Due to a whole lot of cutting and pasting, I have a draft! It's too long, but it does exist. As a reward, I will go edit some fic.]
vaznetti: (crossover)
I did it! I finally wrote something for the Spy Crossover Challenge! Not porn, although Krycek says "fuck" a lot.

Title: Free and easy ways to save the planet
Author: Vanzetti
Category: XF/Alias crossover (for the Spy Crossover Challenge!)
Spoilers: Set post-S2 for Alias and post-series for XF; presumes knowledge of both shows. Don't ask me how Krycek's alive.
Rated: R for language
Disclaimer: Sure, I invented the X-Files and Alias. Also chewing gum, peanut butter, and sliced bread.
No, seriously, folks: JJ, CC and attendant corporations.
Thanks: to Rez for beta-reading
Summary: Two men, one goal, very little sanity: this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

At least Arvin Sloane had never tried to murder him, which put him well ahead of pretty much everyone else Krycek knew. )

What's the archiving situation with these? I know Shrift and Nestra want to archive, but can I send it out to lists and archives?
