Sep. 4th, 2003 09:44 amObservation the first about watching Season 1 of Alias on DVD: I adore Jack Bristow. From that first scene on the phone with Danny, to that wretched awkward hug with Will. How I love his irritable, repressed self!
No doubt I will have other observations later on, but at the moment I'm feeling a great deal of Jack-love.
In other news, here's what I know about other people's fandoms:
The O.C.: This year's Smallville, a slashy show about teenage boys in Southern California.
Everwood: Another slashy show about teenage boys, but this one is set in Colorado. People in it get brain cancer a lot.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Obviously, there are pirates, and Johnny Depp wears a whole lot of eyeliner. This fandom seems like a natural for threesome fic--is that what people are writing?
Oh, and in a PotC-related aside, am I the only person in Alias fandom who sees the "Jack/Will" label on all this PotC fic and feels that little moment of hope?
Magnificent Seven: A western with seven guys and Laurie Holden. I'm guessing that they fight crime, or at least big ranchers.
LotRPS: The cast members of the Lord of the Rings movies all had affairs in New Zealand while filming the movies, except for Ian McKellen. Why is that?
Stargate SG-1: I think I know what this is about because I saw the movie. Aliens built the pyramids, and now MacGyver is fighting them off. There is a woman named Sam in it, and there was a new Ray vs. old Ray style brouhaha last year.
There must be others, but these are the fandoms that sprung to mind. I guess I could write about all those reality shows people watch, but I'm a little vague on the whole concept.
