Something of a public service announcement, I'm afraid, but there's an extensive discussion of public criticism in fandom being tracked over on metablog.

But while I'm here... we're getting toward the end of the new season of ER on Channel 4. Next week is the one with Carter and Luka in Africa. But after last night's episode, the B.H. turned to me and said, "So, now that John and Luka have both broken up with Abby, are they going to get together?"

I said, "I've corrupted you, haven't I?"
