Alias 3x09 spoilers

We are on 3x09, right?
Because if it was conscience, Sydney doesn't seem to have one. Shooting your bad self in a dream for trying to help you? Yeah, Syd, go ahead and keep thinking that you're lily-white and Julia's coal-black. OK, yes, Julia was trying to suffocate her (again), but shooting her like that? Please. I think we all know that that was just a lame attempt to rub out her own sense of guilt.
Although at least Lazarey's alive and well, or was as of four months ago. "Trust Lazarey," says Julia. I suppose this means we can't add him to the list of Sydney's dead ex-boyfriends. Would someone mind reminding the writers that Lazarey is Sark's father, and that this would be a good opportunity to involve David Anders in a few scenes? I would very much like to see him face-to-face with his own dear father. (And how interesting that Lazarey took Jack's place by the music box in the birthday scene: interchangeable fathers, and an artifact Sark and Sydney fought over?)
Confirmation that Lazarey was involved with the Rambaldi plotline is welcome. I wonder if he'll have an evil hand of his own when we see him next, since he really has turned out to be Lazarus Lazarey.
I loved seeing "Julia" and "Sydney" together, hearing Julia attempt to communicate with her other self. Loved it. I want more of that.
Is it possible that Lazarey is the man behind the Covenant?
Sloane remains my fictional boyfriend. Sydney can't have him. I see no subtext. No! None! Will we have to wait until the end of the season to find out what was on the paper Lindsay passed him? I suspect that Sloane's game will become clear sooner than that, but not, perhaps his real game.
Other things we learned from watching Alias: do not let David Cronenberg shoot you full of drugs and stick electrodes to your head. Seriously, how difficult is that to figure out?
I adored the druggie girl--what was her name? She was so cute! Do you think Jack got lucky while Vaughn was sitting by Sydney's bedside, by the way?
I join with all the other LJ people who assert that Lauren Reed isn't the enemy, and that the final shot was a cop-out.
My verdict: excellent. I feel all tingly. I feel the need to think hard about Lazarey.
