I love my local new/used bookstore. It had a copy of The First Two Lives of Lukas-Kasha, which is my favorite of Lloyd Alexander's books. I've been looking for it, in a desultory fashion, for about five or six years now, maybe more, and today I was just looking through the children's books, glanced to one side, and there it was.
I also bought Reginald Hill's Underworld, one of the few Dalziel and Pascoe books I haven't read; I've been reluctant to pick it up, because I approach the Pascoe marriage with the fervor of a barbieshipper. Even though I know that it will all be fine in the end, the idea of Ellie or Peter with anyone else is deeply distressing to me. But I guess I have to expand my horizons; I manage to sit through the later BBC adaptations without too much cursing.
And in Alias-related news,
themoonbar has some interesting thoughts about Jack, and they reminded me that Sloane has become a puzzle to me. There will be a post about this in my future, although I don't feel quite coherent enough to manage it now.
