I remember using the whole comparison of John and Jack, and how they're not at all similar except really they are, when I was first burbling about the show to Rez. I would be afraid to see them opposed; I think they'd destroy the universe, between them.
And that's what always makes me empathise with Sark, because in the end, he never ever wins but he's so desperate to succeed, to please, and because he has no one.
I know. It just breaks my heart but it's always, always the truth of him -- all he wants is that security of belonging, and it's the thing he's never had. He never comes first; he's never loved like that.
