24, some hour or other

This year's terrorists have the most insanely complicated plan ever. "We will kidnap and murder the secretary of defense and send it out on the internet! But that's not our plan! That's just a diversion to allow us to gain control of the nuclear power stations and make them melt down, killing tens of thousands of Americans! But that's not our real plan! Our real plan is..." And I would say, "assassinating the President" but frankly that seems a bit unambitious for this crowd. They've already tried the show-trial and public execution gambit, so I'm guessing that they're planning to replace the him with his evil clone, whom they of course control, thus taking over all of America, bwahahahahaha!
These guys are serious overachievers.
Also, a mere two or three episodes ago I referred to Paul as a waste of space. Now I cringe when he gets hurt and believe Jack to be totally hot for him. Sorry, Tony, you might as well go back to Michelle, because Jack has found the only man for him. (I'm not positive I want a Tony and Michelle reconciliation, but I'm pretty sure I'll get one, unless one or the other is killed. And I can live with that.)
So, Sara was fired. I am not surprised. The surprising thing is that she came back to work at all after the whole "oops, we tortured you" episode.
If they're short-handed, maybe they'll bring Chloe back for the final few episodes.
And look, we have Good Muslims! I know I shouldn't make fun of this show when it's attempting to be earnest and even-handed, but it does such a clumsy job of it that I just can't help myself. This felt particularly tacked-on, although I'm sure it wasn't really. It's just that political correctness is not something 24 should ever attempt. Its strengths lie elsewhere. Really.
I do like this show, but I can't seem to suppress the urge to snark about it.
Also, it's snowing again.
