Jan. 9th, 2014 12:30 pmHello internet and Happy New Year! I am sorry to have been so quiet, and to have such insubstantial things to say when I do. I actually read my friendslist every day, but even then can barely bring myself to comment, and even typing this post out is difficult. And even responding to comments is something I've become dreadful at. I want to interact, but it's like I can't actually make myself do it.
There are lots of things I could take about, though! The flooding here is the worst I've ever seen (at the moment I'm very glad that we never managed to sell our house and move, because we would currently be either flooded or at serious risk of being flooded -- but as it is we're safe up on our hill). Tomorrow I am going to put on my wellies and brave the Botley Road, just to see what it's like.
Or I could talk about television, but the problem there is that the shows I am excited about are not shows that anyone else is watching, or else I'm watching them at a different schedule to everyone else. And the shows I am watching at more or less the same time as other people are shows I don't care hugely about, or shows that I'd rather not talk about. I mean, I could write my Grand Unified Theory of Mike Johnson (and why he is my favorite Johnson except for maybe Ty, despite that one thing he did) post, but there even on Tumblr there are maybe eight people who would read it, so why bother? At least not until there is a US airdate for the series (it will show on Syfy! you should watch it, and I will make a post telling you why!)
(But I was very excited to see that Brooklyn 99 will be showing here starting next week! Andre Braugher! In something I can hopefully bear to watch, unlike that dumb show about the submarine crew, which, sorry Mr. Braugher, lost me pretty fast.)
Whoops! I just looked at the clock and have to go pick up Spartacus from school now! Time to hit post, and try to think of more things to say later.
