The Fall, without spoilers

I watched The Fall last night on BBC2: it's Gillian Anderson's first role in an investigative drama since leaving the X-Files, I think. And it's very difficult to see her sitting on a bed surrounded by crime-scene files without thinking of Scully. If you miss Scully (and who doesn't miss Scully?) you might want to check it out.

The whole thing is very good, and she is great as usual. But it is serial killer porn, and I really don't care for serial killer porn; I was hoping that having a female lead investigator would change that dynamic, but it really didn't. So I will probably have it on in the background if A watches it, but not pay too much attention.
