Dec. 20th, 2010 01:56 pmOK! Yuletide victory! I'm pretty sure this is the closest I've come to the wire, but the uploading was all very smooth -- the benefit of being awake while North America is still sleeping or trying to get to work.
Meanwhile, we had about 6 inches of snow on Saturday; God only knows when they'll get a snowplow up our hill, but so far walking up and down is fine. The problem will come whenever it warms up and the snow melts and refreezes and our hill turns into a giant sheet of ice. Our main topic of conversation is, "will Sainsbury's deliver our shopping on Tuesday, or will we have to go into town to get our turkey?" At least if they don't we'll be able to buy food Wednesday or Thursday: surely Oxford won't have run out of turkeys by then!
Anyway, in preparation for all this food, I need to go clean the fridge, since that didn't make my Yuletide procrastination list.
