Is it Yuletide time again? I am tempted to sign up, except that in about three weeks (or less) the busiest part of the year will start, and it won't end until about December 10th, and I will probably not even have time to think about what I would request if I signed up. What I'd really like to do is to be able to pinch-hit without signing up for the main exchange, but I have no idea whether that's possible. I mean, I'd like to have written more than one story in the last year.

Oh, who am I kidding?

Also no doubt due to the changing season, I am doing a lot of baking; I think I got the last of the usable blackberries to put in a mostly-apple pie yesterday. August was so wet that most of the blackberries were lost, but we still have a lot of apples. Tomorrow I am planning to attempt quince jelly; if it goes well I may use the last of the apples to make apple jelly, if I have enough.

Apropos the icon meme going around, now that I have an unpaid account I don't have that many icons to play with. But I am with you all in spirit!

Will I ever get around to the other eighty-four things? Can I even remember them?
