On the other hand, while you were gone, I did a few moderately productive things -- I went to services and then shopping and took a drive out to Peggy's Cove, where I realized that it was too cold to get out of my car and walk around much. And then there were flurries on the way back.
There's no heat in my apartment. I do have a little space heater, which works fairly well, and to be fair the apartment is never all that warm, but part of the reason I went for such a long drive was the fact that so long as I was in the car, my feet were warm. I need a hot water bottle or something.
And now to put the soup into some kind of container (leek, potato and cheddar soup; it came out well, considering that I was working from a recipe that called for a slightly different set of ingredients).
