May. 13th, 2006 11:07 pmSpring in Nova Scotia does have its benefits -- tonight's dinner was scallops flash-fried in bacon fat, over beet greens, and to follow, and apple and rhubarb crumble. (I'm using up the last of my apples.) I just wish it were a little warmer, that's all.

The "ten people you'd sleep with, no strings attached" meme going around always reminds me of my absolute favorite meme of that kind:

I like this meme because it's the perfect meme for the characters I love. I did it back in 2002, although I think I'd probably trade Clodius for Alcibiades this time around, and I know there was a later version somewhere with Arvin Sloane in it. But now I have a new list, and I want to say that part of my was really tempted just to write "Dean Winchester" five times, because yes, I really am that sad and pathetic. And obsessed. But hey, there would totally be a fun time had by all.

Have you ever been writing, and had some piece of story that just won't come together, and then realized that the reason it won't come together is because it's a terrible, horrible idea and if you try to get away with it, you'll be run out of fandom on a rail? I had that today.

So before and in between all that Supernatural, I read all of Astonishing X-Men, or anyway, up to #14, which I'm pretty sure is all there is so far. And now I will be in the corner wibbling. ( and I don't even think that this is a spoiler, but whatever )
