Shopping in Oxford was a success -- anyway, the BH bought about a season's worth of clothing, and we bought new luggage for the trip. I'm ashamed to say that I picked out a powder-blue samsonite case with a matching cosmetics case; thank goodness that I can't find a picture on the samsonite web page, because all you really need to know about my taste is that the purchase proceeded with a distinct lack of irony. (Oh, the case is like this, but light blue, and the cosmetics case has little handles, like a miniature duffle.) I really should feel more shame.
