vaznettiI missed the first ten minutes due to the longest Kol Nidre services in history.
Sorry, Sydney. If you want bad guys to answer your questions, you have to stop killing them as soon as you see them. Just a friendly hint.
As I said, I missed the first ten minutes--but I gather that it was all just set-up stuff.
But pretty soon it was Sark, mocking Sydney. How amusing was that? How much did I like the fact that he's still in Irina's cell? How happy was I to see him? Yeah.
For the record, I like the new hair. In action, it looked good. His accent was different as well--it sounded marginally more natural to my ear, in the prison scene.
Sadly, I missed some of his dialogue in later scenes, because my darling husband was criticizing the treatment of the '82. For the record, a wine like that should be decanted first, or at least allowed to breathe a little.
Me: Be quiet--I want to hear this scene. I'm sure Mr. Sark agrees with you.
Him: You notice he isn't drinking it yet.
The abuse of good wines on this show is in fact criminal.
OK. Hair good, descent from Russian royalty bad. Don't get me started on this kind of thing. (By the way, did Sark know who his father was? When does he find out that Syd killed him? And given that the Consortium--or whatever they're called, I have too many secret agencies in my head--set the whole thing up, can I vote for Syd and Sark getting together to bring them down at the end of the season.)
But the Russian connection is something I can live with.
And you know, he wants to know whether Allison made it or not. Just saying.
And Jack and Irina! "Miss you." "Miss you too." The B.H. and I have email exchanges like that. Their love is so... it just is. I love the fact that even without LO onscreen, they aren't ignoring Irina.
And Jack and Sloane, to make my love-triangle complete. (What, you thought I cared about Syd/Vaughn/Reed? The B.H. fears that the Syd-Vaughn thing will become like Ally McBeal. I live in fear, I admit. They've already started the earnest, longing glances.) I love the two of them together. I really do.
So in summation, it's all about Sark. And Jack and Irina and Sloane. What, there are other characters on this show?
