I'm not a fan of the kitchen sink for hairwashing: it always feels vaguely wrong to me. I got into the habit of using a jug and bucket in the bathroom/bathtub in India and find that it makes a good substitute and is very water-efficient. So that's what I'll do if I can't sort out an attachment.
