This is it. The movers are coming at 8:30 tomorrow morning. The pile of clothes on the futon has been jammed into suitcases. Thank you to everyone who's sent or left notes for me. I really appreciate it.
Meanwhile, I've found something new to worry about--will my sneakers (still covered with dirt from gardening) be confiscated at customs as a foot-and-mouth hazard? You have to admit, it would make for an intersting story...
And naturally, there's an interesting discussion on Glass Onion that I'd like to add to. In my copious spare time. Oh well!
Anyway, next time I write it will be from New York! Hurray!
