What with work-related stuff, I have not been home for dinner for three nights. This morning I opened the cabinet under the sink all the way, probably for the first time since at least Friday, and discovered that there was a mouse in the mousetrap there.

Yeah, that was my reaction, too. With a side of "wow, poor little mouse," and "I wonder how many more are living in the building now?"

I'm sure it just caught the mouse. :)

I have decide to believe that this is so. (Also, re: your post, my husband loves our Dyson with an unholy love, and I agree that it is not a bad machine.)

It was very, very dead. Apparently the landlady's cat has been bringing them to her with a little life in them -- I guess so they can play with it together? -- so dead was definitely better.

I awoke to blessed, blessed internet connectivity. And also significantly less smoke in the air.

Your workload continues dire, it sounds like. With dead-mouse garnish, urk.
