some joy?

Apparently yesterday was More Joy day, but I was not feeling very much joy at all. Today I am more sanguine about the fact that I am living in a Kafka story, because at least it is not a Kafka story with cockroaches, and I had to do 300% less waiting around than I expected.

I am not watching anything with great attention, but Brooklyn 99 has finally started here! Yay! Also The Librarians, which is filling the "very silly show" spot nicely. As does The Musketeers, in its own way. I have somehow fallen behind on Agents of Shield again, I think.

I finished All Clear, and was happier about a number of things in it, which I will have to post about later on -- but I still think that the storytelling could have been clearer without losing its emotional effectiveness. I think my problem is that of the main characters I like Polly the least; I don't know why I don't find her more sympathetic, but I don't.
musesfool: Jaime Reyes is the Blue Beetle and he don't need no superpowers to kick ass (and i'm all out of bubblegum)

I had that same reaction to her, and I think it's because not only does she think she knows best for all of them, she also thinks she's smarter than they are, when in fact, she's only in possession of more information.
