You know how you can spend years avoiding that long article in German? Alas, I can no longer avoid that long article in German. I think that tomorrow I have no choice but to start spending some quality time with the dictionary; I just hope I remember enough grammar to get through it.

I don't know whether this is just further article-related procrastinating. There is some forward motion, but it's pretty glacial.

Not exactly an insta-rec, but pandarus is writing a SPN/BtVS crossover with Faith, Sam and Dean that works really really well. The dialogue and characterization are both spot on, and there's a really cool plot building there. Go read it and shower her with praise.

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and now Part 4. A WIP, of course, and still gen, interestingly enough, although I can only hope that it won't stay that way forever.

ETA Part Five. And I certainly didn't see that coming. Please go read this story. It's moved beyond awesome.

There cannot be enough squee for this story. Seriously. The Charity thing really cracked me up. And I love how Faith can be super-tough and totally vulnerable all at once.

Do I go to the Fandom Bad Place if I admit I like SPN fic a lot better than the actual show?

I hope not; I've felt that way about many, many shows in my time. Not SPN yet, but it is my shiny new thing and I get all soppy and overwhelmed by love whenever I think about it. So not exactly winning rationality points, here.

They're all perfect for each other, though, you know -- because they can see through each other's bullshit, but don't ever say anything about it. Except maybe Sam.

Aw! Thanks for the offer, sweetheart, but I'll work through it myself. I need to stretch my German-reading muscles anyway -- I haven't done much for the last couple years. (My German-reading skills are crazy-specialized -- I can handle ancient history and Roman criminal law, but couldn't read a newspaper or a story to save my life!)

Thanks -- but like I said to eretria, it's better if I do it myself. I do need to be able to read German! But I couldn't have better people to ask than the two of you, if I run into problems -- since you'll understand the legal terminology!
