Hm. I've finished the
yuletide story, only to discover that the archive is down. Drat!
If you've ever wondered why I like crossovers, it's because this is how my mind works, too: the other night the B.H. and I were watching L.A. Confidential, and he turned to me toward the end and pointed out that Crazy Uncle Arvin was getting his head flushed down the toilet by the General of the Northern Armies. Which makes much more sense, really, than getting his head flushed down the toilet by Jack Aubrey, who would never do that kind of thing, although Stephen Maturin probably would.
From there we got (somehow) to whether Aeryn Sun could beat up Sydney Bristow (of course, but we don't know if it matters, because Sydeny's mom could take Aeryn's mom), and whether there's any villain in the universe who would not be reduced by the John-and-Aeryn "Hi! We're crazy and have bombs!" double-team of doom.
eta: yuletide success! huzzah!

(Anonymous) 2004-12-21 06:48 am (UTC)(link)Sauron wouldn't be cowed by John and Aeryn, though. He'd likely try to recruit them, which would be his downfall. The next thing you know, he'd be wandering around inside of Moya, his baleful eye roving everywhere for snacks while he incorporeally made snide remarks and did the high five with the chip-scorpy inside John's head.

BWAHAHAHA!!!! Oh, that's brilliant. And I'll never watch L.A. Confidential in quite the same way again! :-)
This is why you rock, Vanzetti. Well, one of the many reasons.

(Anonymous) 2004-12-22 07:16 am (UTC)(link)It's sort of ironic, since they cancelled Farscape when they got Stargate in place. But it will be interesting to see what he can do in that universe.
