I lack the words to describe how beautiful it is here. We're at the very edge the beach--when the tide it is, the waves are nearly at the foot of the sala (veranda). And we live a wholly colonial existence: there's even a drive up to the house with lawn on either side, watered with brackish water from the well. It's really quite shameful, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

To give you a sense of how happy I am here, I will only say that I simply don't care about all the television I'm missing. Even 24. Even Alias.

It's a little piece of heaven on earth, I assure you.

It's a little town on a bay just north of Barra de navidad, on the Pacific coast about an hour north of Manzanillo and three hours or so south of Puerto Vallarta.

Given the casting information I've heard for the 24 episode I missed the other night, I think it's remarkable how blase I am about missing it! Even the thought of NINA can't make me regret this.

Sark doesn't care either. See him out there on that pretty yawl off the beach, lazing around barefoot on the deck? He'd wave but he knows you too well for that. We miss you terribly, though.

Meanwhile, life here is exactly like a Trollope novel (I read Can You Forgive her and Phineas Finn in a huge rush and am kicking myself for not bringing the rest) and I miss you all, too.
