Yes, I also hated how the story treated Daenerys! And not because I wanted her to end up ruling Westeros, because I'm not convinced that would be a great result. But she spends so much time trying hard to compromise, and to control the violence all around her, that to have her turn to random city-sacking just seemed really random. I mean, everyone was under-motivated this season but it really stood out with Dany.
