Multifandom Drabbles
The Multifandom Drabble fest is shaping up to be my favourite exchange of all -- it's both low-stress and challenging, and also a lot of fun! And I really love writing drabbles.
Last year I did a pinch-hit and wrote some treats, but this year I participated properly and it was amazing! I got SIX GIFTS!!!! I was expecting to be lingering on the treatless list, but no! It was great! And my gifts were all great too!
Two were for Star Wars (OT):
Turn of the Screw (100 words) by Filigranka -- an AU of Leia turning to the Dark Side (my favourite AU ever, and this is a great version of it).
Horizons (200 words) by Penknife -- The summary is "Luke and Leia, growing up and watching the stars," but it is equally about their parents, and parental love. A really beautiful example of a double drabble.
The other four (four!) were for my prompt for a crossover between Star Wars and Game of Thrones:
Her Castamere (300 words) by Artemis1000 -- Cersei as the Princess of Alderaan. She is so amazingly herself here -- completely in character despite the very different setting. I am definitely rooting for this Cersei!
Honour by the devilchicken -- Arya becominbg a Jedi knight. I could read a lot more of this AU, but what I particularly loved was the glimpse of Arya as a youngling.
like a tide or a mighty force (403 words) by meme_inspired -- this is also one where Arya becomes a Jedi, but what really stands out is the way the worldbuilding of the two universes has been merged.
and finally, Some Galaxy, Somewhere (100 words) by Fairleigh -- a little bit of hysterically funny meta. It turns out that Luke and Jaime don't have everything in common!
I also wrote some things, which I will describe in a later post.
