I wonder the same thing about the ratings, especially because I have a hard time imagining a network singing off on some of the stuff they've done. I'm amazed that they brought it back for these few episodes, frankly. But as you say, why not go ahead and tell the best story you can, if you know you're not going to get the ratings.

And I really wish showrunners would stop claiming that they HAVE A PLAN. They never do, and we all know it.
