Re: Supernatural, I think this is one of the things the writers dropped the ball on. That Sam has good enough grades to get into Stanford but apparently was either home-schooled or constantly in a new school. I'd love to have a definitive explanation for the disconnect but as I said, I think it's something they messed up on. (As writers often do, not being quite as obsessive with this stuff as the fans.)
