Oh, I don't mind if that counts as being a feminist. I just haven't seen a consenus on 'feminist' lately, so I wasn't at all sure. But I'm definitely not going to let someone tell me I have to write from a female POV just because I'm female.

I actually went and read that essay and I must say -- for someone ostensibly not trying to offend, it's more than a tad accusatory. Also? The logic is abysmal. Unless someone can *show me* a direct link where writing male POV leads/has led to court-ordered gang rape, female genital mutilation, etc., it's a specious argument. I'd personally class it as 'inciting to riot.'

::shaking head:: Oh, well. ::shrugs:: I do write multi-points of view, all 3 voices, past and present tense, white, black, Indian, female, male, old, and young. I'm not about to listen to someone telling me what I can and can't write on this anymore than I did to the craptastic 'said' 'adverb' and '3rd person omniscient' arguments either.

Lord. I'd gotten used to fandom being on the *good* crack, the kind that led to (fun but) insane SGA fics. I think I'll saunter back that way, too. {{hugs}}
