What I've cooked from the New Basics I've liked. I have a couple of recipes in the Moosewood I go back to over and over again, one of which is the poppy-seed cake. Actually, several of the desserts are very good. Also the curried squash soup, and a couple of other things. But yeah, some of the dishes are too much work, too many pans. I'm a one-dish cook: roasted vegetables, baby!
