I feel bad about abandoning this story, because it's full of lines that I love (like Amanda's bit about the "previously-owned diamonds") but I have absolutely no idea what's supposed to be going on in it. I mean, the obvious storyline would be some kind of side-conspiracy involving Immortals and the loose ends of the conspiracy, but how would it work? And why? This is why this story has been lurking on my hard drive for something like three years now, completely untouched.

So sad. But the fragments are kind of fun, aren't they?
