Big Pimp and Little Pimp

First, the Big Pimp:

[livejournal.com profile] monanotlisa and I are organizing an Alias fic exchange for the holiday season, [livejournal.com profile] spy_santa. Go read the description and sign up! It will be fun! I know that some of you still have Alias-love, and this is a great way to demonstrate it.

Sign-ups end November 21, and stories are due January 6.

And then, the little pimp:

[livejournal.com profile] jennyo is running the Female Character Gen Ficathon. If you've been complaining about the scarcity of gen or the scarcity of stories focused on female characters, this would be your opportunity to do something about it.

Sign-ups end December 6, and stories are due January 6.

I'm planning to do both, and kind of wondering what's happened to me. [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, two holiday exchanges, Sark stories for [livejournal.com profile] crossovers100 and I still want to write things for [livejournal.com profile] 100_women? I've gone crazy, yet again. I need to do real, work-related writing as well.

Yeah, I just read both of those, and I … just have a very different view of the relationship between the two characters. Not that the stories weren’t well-written, of course.

Fair enough. I have my own issues with Lucius wrt Titus, but I can enjoy almost any well-written fic about my current fandom love.

Heh! Well, I think I was just a little disappointed that the reason Vorenus went to rescue Pullo was because they were in lurve – for one thing because sometimes I like my relationships non-sexual and for another because I think it was [livejournal.com profile] vaznetti who very persuasively explained why being the recipient of, err, how do I put this delicately, penetration, was kinda déclassé in Roman times and so it makes me wonder a bit… So I liked both of the stories you mentioned until the end, I suppose. I guess I should insert a disclaimer or something about how I don’t dislike slash in general blahblahhave written some, etc., it’s just in this instance I find it hard to ignore all the reasons why I think it wouldn’t happen. Does that make sense? They were both excellently written stories though and emotionally involving.

Please, please, please do ...

That makes sense to me; no need on my behalf to disclaim.
