Very quick Alias thoughts

Are we at 1x03 now, because of that 2 hour premiere? Whatever.
Now that Weiss is on the APO team, who will go visit Sark in prison? Poor guy, he's all alone now.
OK, seriously, I'm glad that Weiss=Will was killed early on. And I like that they send Marshall out on missions now--the Bahamas scene was excellent, and there was no "72 hours earlier" crap. See, JJ? We don't need spoon-feeding. And Weiss' birthday party! So cute!
I expected Jack to tell Nadia that Arvin had killed Irina (or had her killed), because blaming Sloane is always a strong impulse there. But in retrospect, that was far too risky a strategy. I am watching Jack's descent into darkness with joy. Joy and glee. This looks to be a great way of heightening the internal tension in the group, and anyway, I'm a sucker for dark!Jack.
Otherwise, that seemed choppy--it must have gone quickly, because the commercial breaks seemed very frequent--but the pacing at the end seemed very rushed.
More later or tomorrow, perhaps.

and well, I was wondering about Sloane being involved in Irina's death, but even if he is, looking at the new old bonds between Jack and him, it's safe to assume Jack couldn't blame Sloane without bringing himself down as well.
The pacing was off, yeah. Jack and Nadia in Spain? They must have used beamers...

Date: 2005-01-20 06:48 am (UTC)Oh, Alias is even worse than X-Files was for ignoring travel times. I just handwave that kind of thing now.
I agree, by the way, that something is holding Jack and Sloane together, and I can't wait to find out what.
