hesychasm posted about a story she encountered, in which a visit to the Killing Fields serves as a lead-in to sex; go here to read the post. She links to the story as well; I tried to read it, because it didn't seem right to talk about a story I hadn't read, but only got to the first paragraph of the porn. At that point, I got a little too badly squicked, and had to hit the back button. I had a little more to say about what I thought the author was doing, and why it disturbed me so much. The effect was to make me cringe and want to run away; I can't imagine how painful it must have been for someone who lost family there.

Which is my way of saying, go read hesychasm's post, instead.
